Let’s Begin…

American Sign Language (ASL) is a way of communicating with your hands and face-- with no spoken words. ASL is the official language of the deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the United States, but it is also a language that is really helpful for remembering the letters of the alphabet. When you do a motion and say something at the same time it makes what you are learning more "sticky!"

Knowing the letters of the alphabet and the sounds that they make can open up a whole new world of reading and writing. Knowing ASL can open an additional amazing world of communication and understanding!
