Let’s Begin…

Sight words are words that are used a lot in writing and sometimes have funny patterns that don't follow typical rules. This means that with sight words you can't sound the word out...you just have to know it by sight! Today we'll learn all about the sight word, "it!" Let's see if you can know it by sight by the end of this lesson.

The more sight words you know the more quickly you'll be able to read and write. More importantly, however, the more sight words you know the less brain power you'll have to spend on sounding out these words in your reading and writing. Instead you can use that extra brain energy to help you understand a story that you are reading or write a story of your very own!
