Let’s Begin…
When a new pathogen emerges, our bodies and healthcare systems are left vulnerable. And when this pathogen causes the outbreak of a pandemic, there’s an urgent need for a vaccine to create widespread immunity with minimal loss of life. So how quickly can we develop vaccines when we need them most? Dan Kwartler describes the three phases of vaccine development.

I think vaccinations should be mandatory for all citizens during a pandemic because you are responsible for yourself.

I think that vaccinations should be optional. If you want to take the vaccine during a pandemic, you can. But if you don't want to take the vaccine then you are responsible of yourself. Even though vaccines can decrease the chances of you getting sick, vaccinations should be optional.

yes it should be mandatory so the pandemic could end as fast as possible but it would be best for it to be fully tested and ready for people to take it. if the vaccine isnt ready, maybe it could be optional since it would not be good enough for mass amounts of people to take it.

I don't think the vaccine should be mandatory. The vaccine doesn't decrease your chances of getting the virus. People at my school are still getting COVID-19, even if they're vaccinated. A boy on the news got the virus and died, even though he got the vaccine. The vaccine only decreases the effects if you get the virus. Who says you're going to get the virus in the first place?

Yeah, it should be mandatory for all citizens during a pandemic because by someone not taking the vaccine it should danger themselves and someone close to them.

In my opinion vaccinations should be mandatory for all citizens during a pandemic because if someone gets sick they can get others infected and continues to spread the virus. To stop that everyone should be vaccinated and still if vaccinated than you should still be careful and protect yourself from getting infected.

Personally, vaccinations should be optional depending on the person and environment. Though yes vaccinations are better for safety, but you are giving yourself the virus either way. If the person decides they don't want to take the vaccine they are in full responsibility of their own and people's safety. I do think adults should have this option not kids. Kids have to go to school and participate in social life. Some kids may not understand the importance of safety, so it's better to keep them safe. On the other hand adults should be more responsible of what they decide.

yes, i think it should be mandatory because it can help others be safe and the whole society doesn't have to worry about the virus any more and it can help you stay safe and the pandemic can end more faster when people take the vaccine.
