Our achievements drive us to achieve more and more. For example winning a contest you worked hard for, our reward would be an applause, cheering, or even your parents being proud. And the more you achieve the more people start to believe you'll for example win the next contest. This would make you gain confidence and work harder to win the next contest so you can keep up with others expectations.
