I think that Poe died because of wondering and died of an illness and no body thought to look into his death so it was un-know.
I think the most likely reason Poe died was because of his alcohol addition. Alcohol is a way for people to escape their problems or not face reality. Poe had an extremely difficult life and it makes sense that he would turn to alcohol to try and bury the problems that plagued him.
Something was definitely fishy about his death. I'm curious to hear what other people think might have happened.
Edgar Allan Poe's death is probably a mystery that will ne be solved. But, what seems to make sense is he was a victim of cooping. Maybe he was kidnaped while wondering the streets of Baltimore and forced to vote. There may have been large amounts of alcohol involved in his kidnapping and that may be why he could to say what had happened to him. Also victims of cooping would be dressed in different clothing to be able to vote multiple times. This could explain why he was in different clothes the day he was found.
