Let’s Begin…

The team at periodicvideos has created a TED-Ed Lesson for every element of the periodic table. This one is about polonium. Named after Poland, this element has a notorious reputation because of its use in atomic bombs and international murder allegations.

In 2011, chemists from all over the world celebrated the International Year of Chemistry, which coincided with the 100th anniversary of the award of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Madame Curie for the discovery of polonium and radium.
