The cake cutting techniques described is only useful in scenarios where one want to store the cake for later use. Most of the time, in any cake cutting event, a large number of people are invited and cake is consumed in same day. So, why one need to be so specific about cutting it mathematically.

The system shown in this video clip is really all about trying to sell a book on mathematical tricks and features. This is not only having one's cake but earning the means for more and should not be a part of TED Education. How many cakes are made too wet for which a good airing can help tp improve their texture in the opposite way to what has been shown?
