Harriet Tubman, who was denied a veteran’s pension that led to her struggles with poverty for much of her life, was selected to appear on the twenty-dollar U.S. currency in 2016. Is this the best way to remember her legacy, or should she be honored in a different way?

I think that since she is not one of the most prominent people against the fight For the freedom of blacks, it should be considered to dedicate a memorial and some statue in her name, this so that she can continue to be remembered by the people and be aware of her actions.

She was indeed an amazing woman that deserves more recognition than only her face imprinted in a capitalist piece of paper. People now days don't even see who are in their dollars, they just pay with it, I'm one of those ignorant people. At least she deserves a monument or a movie so much more people will be able to know about her, to recognize her and thank her for all the things she did to America, maybe her name wasn't written on paper because she was a woman in an era were we were discriminated and left behind just for existing, but now that her name can be shouted in a louder way, we should recognize all the privileges we have now thanks to her. I think is cynical to remember her in such a poor way, just because she was given $20dls for pension, she couldn't even use it a lot because she died in less than a decade from that moment. We can honored her with movies so she can be able to transcend much farther or people could build something in her honor, like a monument or a buildi

🤔Why not put a statue were she was born even though not many people will see her . It's a good idea though.

I feel as if Harriet Tubman being on the $20 bill is very significant as it is also the amount she was paid on her pension. This has a very powerful message and shows how truly influential her message and views are to this day. Another benefit of Tubman being on the $20 bill is that it is a very common bill and many people have $20s in their wallet, which would lead to them seeing Harriet Tubman more often. This can also help people become more inspired by her good works for America in the late 1800s.

I think Harriet Tubman should be honored in a way that we can remember her, adding her onto a $20 bill would be a good way as every time you have $20 you will see Harriet Tubman and remember her legacy.

I think her legacy should be honored on the 20 dollar bill as well as in other aspects that would bring awareness to her feats. The 20 dollar bill is a very common note and would lead to many people recognizing her.

I think honoring Harriet Tubman on a $20 bill is a good way, but I feel like she deserves a lot more.

I think it is honoring to have Harriet Tubman on the 20 dollar bill, but I think she deserves more then just the recognition on paper currency.

She should get more credit, she deserves a lot more then just being on currency. She saved tons of people, and that is such an important thing. She should have her owd day to honor her.
