Every star, black hole, human being, smartphone and atom are all constantly pulling on each other due to one force: gravity. So why don’t we feel pulled in billions of different directions? The acceleration due to gravitation on Earth's surface is not the same at each point on Earth. It varies for several reasons - one example being the inhomogeneity of mass distribution within Earth or that our planet is not a perfect uniform sphere. What effects can such small variations have on our daily life?
