Let’s Begin…

People have been grappling with the question of artificial creativity -- alongside the question of artificial intelligence -- for over 170 years. will robots ever be creative

As we have seen in the video robots can be manipulated into thinking "creatively by their own choice" although this can not be true due to the fact that robots follow a set algorithm it will not create anything out of nothing. A better test of this is the chinses room theory, it talks about the fact that they have no free will ,short explanation a man is trapped in a room he must translate a sentence to the other side he knows no language but has a book showing what each symbol can be translated to, example (@ = *) the man is set a algorithm and although does not understand it, it will continue writing. there are a couple issues with this first off context can be changed by language and some words don't exist in other languages. to conclude

robots are pre set and have a task to do but I believe with time we will be able to make a sort of randomness, like lava lamps into words and behavior's.
