How do you define bullying? Read the New York Times article which says, "One way to better identify real bullying is to listen to how teenagers themselves describe their interpersonal conflicts. Most teenagers can identify bullying, but they can also distinguish it from what they often call “drama,” which, the researchers Danah Boyd and Alice Marwick have shown, is an accurate and common name for the ordinary skirmishes that mark most children’s lives. In fact, it’s drama that’s common, and bullying, properly defined, that’s less so."
Sometimes, bullying stops when we all become just a little more open minded. Look what the Quebec government did with this incredible ad campaign. What about people with disabilities? Check out this website that links to articles and resources that could help you understand persons with disabilities. Here is another website with college and graduate school resources for students with disabilities. Don't forget about senior citizens! There's an entire day set aside to honor older persons -- see some ways you can interact and engage with people over 65 years old (give or take a few years) so that you understand more about them and what they need.
