Let’s Begin…

How did America become the country it is? We started out as colonies. In this video by Flocabulary, you will learn about Colonial America and how these colonies set up the future success, failures, and conflicts when America won it's independence and became a country.

Without a doubt, the creation of the 13 colonies deeply influenced America's progress and conflict. As America grew, these influences deepened social, economic, and political divides in the country. This divide grew until the country boiled over into the Civil War. Often, as history is learned, it is questioned if the leaders of the pre-Civil War could have stopped the war. After completing this lesson, the question should become how could our Founding Fathers have stopped the war before it even became a moral, political, economic divide.
