We can protect them by stopping illegal hunting :)
Not allow people to cut lots of trees and by stopping illegal hunting
These resources are really valuable, they're the base of modern medicinal evolution. Traditional medicine practices have also got their own importance.
We can protect those precious resources by conserving them following ex-situ as well as in-situ conservation practices and governmental bodies should really be serious to bear their responsibilities. Illegal hunting should be completely stopped.
Use less cars, factorys and stuff like that.
Should buy Supreme Yeezys and do the dab and it can do pain relief so its really good to dab and say YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
We can protect them by not cutting down trees and plants, preserving the land, and not clearing it. We can save the animal species by stopping illegal hunting.
We can protect each other from sickness and the flu and also most importantly protect each other from the virus out side
Places of high biodiversity are very valuable as they contain many species we do not fully understand or even discovered yet. They may have ************ or scientific value which we can learn from to solve human solutions. The practices of indigenous people cannot be seen as inferior as there may be basis behind it even if it isn’t understood right now. We must stop illegal deforestation and habitat loss. Species must be conserved and the rights of indigenous people must be observed.
It's definitely important to conserve our Amazon Rainforest and many other biodiversity-rich areas in an attempt to ********* the unhidden treasures they may hold for us. Nature has never failed to surprise us with its abilities, as we've observed from the traditions of the First Nations and their practices. We can definitely learn from herbal and natural remedies, as many are the basis for modern medicine. Personally, I believe that by decolonizing and investing in nature conservation, creating more green spaces, and researching the current biodiversity-rich areas we have we're sure to uncover more natural phenomenon.
We should take use of the resources in a sustainable way.
We should try not to build so many more buildings and not build more houses, so that we won't destroy plants and trees. ~ Harmony, age 7
Dont ruin the forests.
Conservation positively impacts places that are high with biodiversity like the Amazon Rainforest. Nature conservation could have some negative impacts on humans from a medical stand point. Without certain plants in nature, many medicines wouldn't be able to be produced. Therefore, biodiverse places have the potential to hold the key ingredients to many new medicines that have yet to be discovered. We need to protect these biodiverse places to ensure the future of many species, as well as the possible development of medicines. We can best protect them by creating designated protected land, that would protect it from commercial harvesting of trees and other species.
only take what you need not what you want
Nature is super helpful in so many ways, and the more diversity in nature the better. I don't know the best possible way to protect them, but everyone does their part, I think we could make a huge impact on conserving nature. For example, if everyone decided to carpool more often, we'd reduce CO2 emissions that harm people and animals. I know that is a weak example, but the more little things we do more often, the bigger their impact.
It made me realize that how much more we don't know about the world with our "modern" western medicines.
We can protect these natural habitats by supporting companies who help these habitats and helping reduce climate change so that not only natural habitats are protected but we are also protected.
We can protect the people and forests by implying laws that inhibit logging and destruction of the forests.
We could be killing plants that could be the cure to cancer or something! We can protect these types of plants by making campaigns to stop cutting down the trees in the world.
We can best protect them by having regulations on how much hunting and cutting down of trees that is allowed.
We can protect and keep the snake, giga monster and scorpions safe to use them for the future
Everything in this world have an intrinsic value even if it is not of our use.
The use of plants as a source of medicines has changed the world. We are totally dependent upon them. A place with high level of endemism is very important for us. We need to conserve them by
Creating awareness among people
Planting more trees
Use of organic things
Decreasing fragmentation of land
Decrease over exploitation
High biodiversity places are very important to conserve since, as we saw, could impact the discovery of modern medication. We could best protect these places by restricting the destruction of forest and enforcing laws to protect them.
While individuals are commonly generally acquainted with multi-cellular life forms, for example, plants and animals, these life forms structure just little branches on the tree of life. The best metabolic decent variety is found among the prokaryotic life forms of the Eubacteria and Archaea. Albeit a portion of these microorganisms use oxygen for breath, or photosynthesize like plants, others have the uncommon capacity to get vitality from inorganic synthetics, for example, hydrogen sulfide or smelling salts, and they use carbon dioxide as their lone wellspring of carbon for creating natural molecules. Since individuals have dared to all pieces of the globe, one may expect that the new species being found every year would be minute creatures that must be recognized at the metabolic level. While the facts confirm that most new species recognized are creepy crawlies, organisms and parasites, we are as yet finding new vertebrates.
“We CAn SToP iLLeGaL HUnTiNg” is one of the absolute DUMBEST response EVER we can’t just say stop illegal hunting and expect people to think that they should stop it’s already illegal and that’s all we can do to try to stop them and so if there’s more park rangers around to enforce the rule of no hunting where it’s not allowed or when it’s not allowed less people will risk being charged.
To protect them we can limit our use of things that can destroy them. We can also build awareness and teach people about the subject.
Some of the things we can do is value more the products we have and maybe instead of using something in the nature that is harmful use something else. To prevent us from harming ourselves and others.
Conservation plays a huge role in protecting many beautiful places of our Earth. We should study more plants and try to find more things that they can be used for. For example, we could do this by protecting more habitats and national forest by using stricter rules of being on the land. Only scientist she be allowed to conduct research and help better the medical field.
We should value what we have and protect them at all costs. We could stop illegal hunting, cutting trees, keeping the area clean, and enforce laws for this to not happen.
I've always had an appreciation for countries that are able to sustain themselves purely off the land and live a very long time while doing so. There's lots of evidence that proves there used to be insanely huge cities located in the Amazon. These cities had millions of people with roads and all types of structures. The Spaniards came with diseases such as small pox and pretty much wiped out the whole population. Since these cities were now empty the Amazon consumed them, having them lost, but later found with thermal technology. I wonder if the diseases never wiped out these people would they have found some type of medicine that would help them become immune, which would then allow them to continue thriving?
We can best protect these sources by treating them as they were valuable items. I've seen that people get more protective if the item is valuable, and if more people see the source is more valuable more people will join and help protect the source.
As the video proves, the conservation of these wildlife areas is very important is they could possess even more potential medicine practices as aspirin did for us. These are very much valuable natural resources as they likely not only provide benefits for us humans, but also to the wildlife in that region as they likely use those resources forms of medicine provided to them by nature. The best way to protect these areas is as President Theodore Roosevelt did during his term and create National Parks where it is a crime to harm the wildlife in these areas. This would discourage anyone from harming these regions since they would be committing a federal crime and then have to pay the punishment which would likely be many years in prison.
After learning about natural sources of our modern-day medicines it definitely changed the way I look at nature. I think if they really try they can find something that is still healthy but doesn't harm nature at the same time.
It changes the way I look at traditional medicine in the way that someone out of nowhere scraped bark and ate it, and now as we know it, evolved into aspirin. Innovation, discoveries, creations, can come from anywhere and from that result we can continue to advance the scientific and medical field where we can save millions of life. If we conserve places such as the Amazon Rainforest, we can even get a discovery that can lead to advancing our generation with medicine that can even make us live longer. We would have to limit the amount of trees to cut down, have forests where research is done only by professionals, and raising awareness to people who don't see reason to conserving nature.
Considering the information being told about aspirin, I do view medicine more of a natural source. I believe the best way to protect plants and places with high biodiversity is by protecting plants around us. As well as supporting companies who help habitats and help prevent pollution.
I feel like the now seeing a lot of medicines that are derived from plants it has changed my perspective of things. I think a way that we can keep these valuable resources and protect them at the same time is to keep planting those specific plants that they are using to is continues to grow and not ruin nature's beauty.
These people that do this to this rain forest like cut down the trees just reduces us having more medicine and helping more people.
We can protect them by putting in laws and acts to keep them safe
We can stop this by valuing what we have and protect them always. We can stop this illegal hunting, cutting trees and keeping the areas clean also enforce laws for this to not happen anymore.
The medicine is for our well being and the constant threats to human lives however, the actions in which we take to provide these medicines harm other things like the environment in which there should be restrictions.
As we watched the video on aspirins, nature provides various medicines that better our health. While thinking about nature conservation it is important that we do not harm their natural environment. Conservation allows for the animals and plants that live in an area to thrive in their own home without and potential harm from us humans. It amazes me how people who created traditional medicine practices decided to try something out of curiosity and eventually discovered something life-changing. These resources are valuable and we can best protect them by only taking what we need, replanting more than we take, and leave these resources in their natural habitats.
This information changes my perspective on nature conservation in many ways. First of all after watching the video I can say that medicine, such as aspirin, is a natural source because it comes from scraped bark. Even though the discovery of aspirin has been very great, it still affects forests and animals' habitats and environments. A way we can protect these valuable resources is by finding different sources to these medicines instead of ruining nature.
This conversation of the natural sources of our modern-day medicines affects the way I view the First Nations' by showing that nature is extremely important and relevant in our everyday lives. Aspirin is an example how using nature changed the lives of many. Not only did it help create a new product that helps with pain and is still used more than 100 years later. But, it helped with coming up with other medicines such as penicillin and ibuprofen. These were created for the same effects as aspirin but, can benefit better in other ways and come with different benefits.
It changes the way I look at nature because it has always been a way of helping people from discovering different things in the past. People used to live off the things nature was able to help with when technology like we have now did not exist. I think people from first nations had to be very smart to be able to discover ways to help each other when in pain.
Since they are valuable resources, we can do our best to protect them by not allowing people get into the Amazon Rainforest or start planting the plants else where.
After learning about the history of our medicine, I can conclude that places with high biodiversity are valuable resources. Without them we wouldn't have the medicine we have today. We can best protect them by stopping forest destruction and not littering.
It's very important that we protect biologically rich lands since they might hold plants that we have not yet discovered yet. These undiscovered plants could save lives.
This information changed the way I look at nature conservation because I know now how important it is. Conservation affects places with high biodiversity by preserving climate changes and reduces species multiplicity. These resources are valuable because it's what provides living organisms with what they need (to survive). There are a ton of ways to protect them but something I'd do would be to keep my surroundings (earth) clean.
After watching the video on aspirin, the information that was given to me changed my perspective on nature. The video informed me that aspirin is a natural source that comes form willow tree bark. Even though aspirin still helps us, it doesn't help the environment, but a way we can protect our environment is by cleaning litter, stop hunting, or making it private property for the scientist.
After completing the video, nature conservation becomes all the more important. Knowing that nature helps with our health, people should value it more. To conserve the environment, we can explore more methods for medication and restrict some of the areas from the public.
Places like the Amazon Rainforest especially are in danger because of deforestation which means the act of clearing an area of trees. Us human are taking advantage of natural resources and not thinking critically and clearly on how much danger its posing to the species that live there and need those resources that are being destroyed by us humans. We use the trees of the forests for timber. Also its important to see that we are impacting it in not so good way by creating roads. Indeed these resources that we use for medicine and wellness is important because its a step forward in trying to make a better health. We can best protect them by putting some restrictions on the people that are just using those resources for not so important things we should take advantage that we have the opportunity to use these resources and take care of them by only using it for research and selfish reasons.
Nature conversation affects places with an area of land supports and variety of species because killing plants are species food. And species health are as important as ours. Species in fact, bring a greater variety of crops. I do believed that this are very very valuable resources because they are very important and these plants are saving lives. We can protect them by lower the fact that many people hunt.
We can protect these resources by finding alternative ways to treat different illnesses instead of cutting trees and doing illegal hunting.
After learning about this topic it made me realize how much more important nature conservation should be to all of us. There may be some plants out there that have benefits for humans that we have not discovered yet. The way I look at traditional medicine practices is still the same. I have always found a fascination for traditional medicine. Yes, these are valuable resources. The best way to protect them is to inform and educate future generations of the importance nature has on our health.
After learning about natural sources that have changed the world on medicine has truly opened my eyes to nature conservation. Natural resources have always been an important aspect of our daily lives that we constantly take for granted. We constantly abuse them and show little no care. Places such as the Amazon Rain forest will benefit greatly if conserved. It will continue to provide us with natural resources and allow expansion of different medicine practices as we continue to advance. I believe these resources are very valuable and since they are valuable we must think of ways to protect them. There are already different organizations and platforms that do such work.
These are valuable resources because of how they help. We could protect them by valuing them more. This will also help others see how much we should value them and soon they will be more protected. With more people valuing them, we could use better things. We will hopefully later use things that don't harm us or any other things.
The videos are very informational on how valuable these resources could be. They provide many benefits to our health and it would be a great loss if they weren't here. I feel like in order to protect them we should protect our forests as much as we can. Put restrictions that prevent them from being cut down.
After watching the video about the discovery of Aspirin through natural resources, it didn't affect my perspective on nature conservation; I still believe that we should also preserve nature and help it thrive in it's own state. Conservation affects places with high biodiversity because it allows these areas like nature to do its own thing without the interruption of humanity playing into it. Conservation over these places also allows nature to grow and supports the wildlife that lives within it. These resources are very valuable since they can provide a great service to humanity once discovered as seen with the discovery of Aspirin coming from a willow tree. We can do our best to protect them by getting others aware of the potential benefits that come with doing so and to not over use resources even if we have an abundant of them.
reforestation !
I think we as a society should try and use nature and it's resources as well as respect it
Conservation affects places with high biodiversity like the Amazon Rainforest due to the way it provides many natural resources that can be used to create pharmaceutical needs like Aspirin. When I first thought of Aspirin I thought it was primarily just elements and chemicals that were mixed together to provide that relief of pain but, after watching the video on Aspirin it showed that it was from a tree. From us not ensuring that our planet is full of plants that are needed for not only pharmaceutical needs but also needs to live, we need to make sure that we are aware of that nature conservation is important because one day we could find a cure to a disease or illness from plants. We need to continue to conserve places like the Amazon Rainforest for our safety because medicine practices will advance to find cures and other great resources to provide for our safety.
After learning about the natural source of our modern day medicines, it changed the way I look at nature. People made a living off of things nature provided. People now take advantage of natural resources and are not realizing that places like the Amazon Rainforest are in danger. Especially the species that live there and provide us with resources. We can protect them by putting some restrictions on those who hunt.
After viewing the many health resources that nature has provided for us, I do look at nature differently. I think we can protect these valuable resources by limiting the way we rely on natural resources and find other sources that won't harm us or the species that the land supports. However, I also think taking advantage of the useful resources that nature brings is beneficial and can be done in a safe way with only experts dealing with it so the environment won't be harmed.
Conservation affects places with high biodiversity by conserving important plants to us that are used for consumption or medical reasons. It's also important since we have more plants to investigate that can possibly help with other things! It changes my point of view due to the fact that these practices and knowledge have made huge breakthroughs in life, such as aspirin, which we all don't even consider a scientific achievement since it's so common nowadays. It's pretty cool and fascinating to see how medicine such as this is made/derived from! We can best protect them by setting up national/global parks for reservation, such as Yosemite, so people can steer clear from invading the area and destroying it. We can also create a fine for trespassing on high biodiversity areas, which hopefully can discourage people from causing damage.
I think it affects widely these areas, as due to overpopulation we need more resources, and the humankind over exploits them. I think natural medicine might work for some people, but synthetic medicine is more effective and is tested to work better. We should regulate this exploit ion of resources and care for natural resources.
We can live like we did a long time ago.
You need to make sure that you don't over produce the medicines. You could also replant trees and make sure people really need the medicine that you are providing. You should also take only what you need. I also think that you should also rotate where you harvest in order to let the last habitat regrow.
Yes! These are valuable resources. One of the ways we can protect them is by educating people and sensitizing them to the value of these resources.
It really opens my mind to know the additional benefits in preserving trees. It is very important and crucial to save trees and other areas with high biodiversity. Trees play a tremendous role in traditional medicine. They are very important in treating pain and can even save lives. The best way to protect them is by not cutting the trees down and ruining the area.
We need to protect the animals that live on our planet
We can, for every creature that we harvest, make sure several more go untouched.
Just aspirin it's self helps reduce inflamation of rheumatoid arthritis, pericarditis, and Kawasaki disease. We can protect them by protecting our forest because these valuable rescources are very helpful to us and without them our lives would be very different.
We could make it illegal to go their and only scientist could go their because they could find a medicine.
The best way to protect the valuable resources in a forest is to recycle everything that is recycleble and to not litter so the trash doesn't go into the soil.
We can stop it by not lighting fires, chopping down trees and illegal hunting
These are precious resources because they are not only used in many forms of medicine, but provide shelter for wild animals. I would suggest enforcing strict regulations to ensure that no tree or plant is wasted in the pursuit of medicine. To add on, people should be fined if they cut down precious natural resources illegally.
It is very important. I think comprehensive awareness should be made available for societies by various means. Furthermore, strict policies are required by the governments. For this purpose, collective efforts of various governments are drastically required as there in Amazon basin. At the same time, one's self steps do count.
Of course, we need to protect those astonishing places in order to save traditional medicine practises and its own knowledge about everything. These are so important for us, evolution of practises would help too much people to heal from any kind of illnesses. The best and direct way to protect them is through the Government, because drastic topics require drastic laws.
I have visited the Amazon rainforest and our guide told us that by clearing rain forest, with lots of potential medicine plants, humanity is shooting itself in the foot.
I think that we can learn a lot from indigenous peoples' medicine.
If we find a way of getting them to produce their medicines on a commercial scale, that might be a good way of protecting them.
Stop cutting down and destroying natural habitats where lots of herbal medicines might be found.
Listen to traditional healers.
We can best protect these natural, valuable resources by assuring that we leave enough of them in nature for the futu of our species to enjoy and the environment. In addition, we can educate those around us about these natural medicines and their importance.
Use Our resources in a reasonable and sustainable way
We can protect these resources by reducing hunting and cutting down trees in more important areas and forests.
we can protect them by cutting down less trees and stop illegal hunting
we can try to protect them by stopping illegal hunting and trying to cut down less trees
Global warming has been contributing to the loss of natural habitats such as tropical forests and consequently the extinction of fauna and flora species native to those habitats. We need to switch to green energy and reduce our carbon footprint. Another human activity that has an impact on natural resources conservation is the ever increasing consumption to meet a growing world population. Mass agricultural and industrial production has been the motivation behind acquisition of land including that rich in biodiversity. The recent bush fire incident in the Amazon, converting forest land into residential, commercial and industrial land and illegal logging for rare timber in countries like Vietnam and Indonesia are only some of the many examples.
Ancient medical wisdom and the use of traditional medicinal plants for healing has been a powerful source since time immemorial. With a growing need for such methods in the present time, it is necessary to protect them from being exploited. With the wisdom of people like Dr. Chang Liu and their awareness on the need for conservation, there must be a balance between the consumption and growth of these vital plants.
The best way to protect the is to stop destroying the habitat of all animals and plants. Also to stop cutting down of trees.
I say we could protect them by only using limited of what is needed, since they are valuable. Also, educate people on the importance that this brings.
There needs to be a law enforced about not cutting too much trees and stopping illegal hunting
This changes me by hoping they will figure out ways to stop this and be able to stop the aspirian slowing down and to stop the heart atttacts
Makes me see things differently and scared because med always has their effects and people do not see that.
To stop illegal hunting and protect the trees.
The best way for all parties to win would be to find a more sustainable source of Medicine. Or to find a substitute four ingredients requiring deforestation. But if it is inevitable we must make sure that what we take we give back twice over to ensure the preservation of Natural Resources.
I believe that the best solution is to stop cutting down the trees. We should also stop destroying the natural habitats of the animals that live in the Amazons.
stop cutting down trees
love it
I feel that there should be a limit of cutting trees and that hunting should stop due to animals that are being harmed.
don't cut down rain forests 🌴🌲🌳 or hunt animals🦥🐼🦓🐨🦝🐵🐱🐒
We can build reservoirs to conserve these species and actively stop poaching.
try to carpool mostly and only use a ca when necessary
We should encourage traditional owners of the land to continue their land care practices and teach their language so we do not lose the valuable information they have gathered in thousands of years. We should also protect the native plants and animals and remove invasive weeds from these protected natural sites.
Not allow people to cut lots of trees and by stopping illegal hunting
Educating the general public about effects like these of destroying forests would be a good first step. Demonstrations of eating willow bark before it was cut down would receive a lot of positive press, especially from the quite left CNN. That would be the first step, while the second could be creating a PAC to promote the knowledge and elect lawmakers who would promote ending the fires in brazil and other things of the type.
Learning about natural sources of modern day medicine, it does change the way i see nature itself. I think there is ways for nature to not be harmed, and still get the sources needed for medicine.
I wonder if doctors will ever find create a pill which reduces the risk of getting a heart attack by 100%. Then that would mean less people will be dying!
Nature is precious. it has provided us with the needed resources to continue the sustaining of thousands of species on our planet. medicine derives from plants and origins can be traced to them.we must protect them from Industrialization and reduce the carbon footprint left by production of fossil fuels.
After learning more about where much of our modern medicine comes from I think protecting areas of high biodiversity is even more important because it seems like we have only scratched the surface of medicine from nature. If these areas were to disappear we would lose millions of years of evolution to study that might have helped us combat some of our modern-day issues. The best way to protect these areas of high biodiversity is to leave them alone unless needed. They are a haven of unique life and can usually survive environmental shifts however their biggest threat is humans tearing them down so creating protected land for these ecosystems is very important.
We can best protect them by in order to cut down trees you need a linces that allowed you to.
Conservation affects these places because it plays a big part in protecting them. There is many more plants that need to be studied and examined to find out what good they can be used for. In this same act, we can also determine which plants are harmful.
We should take what we need and avoid capitalising on these resources to make more money. The Amazon rainforest’s resources has been sucked dry and there were even forest fires. Only when we start living simple and use what we need, instead of doing it for the money, can we best protect these forests.
We can protect the rain forest and other endangered places by closing them off from people and by stopping animal hunting. This will allow animals to reproduce and grow their species again and the rainforest and other places to be there home. Often times, the rainforest is being cut down for its resources and doesn't have time to regrow its roots and branches and other things.
There should be a balance put in place to ensure we don't go overboard with resource gathering for our medicines. We have to prevent the destruction of these locations that give us our resources but have the ability to still gather things to supply ourselves with.
The conservation of places with high biodiversity maintains biodiversity of plants and animals. These places contains valuable sources of medicine. We can protect these places by conservation including preventing habitat destruction and poaching.
Our survived by using natural methods from the surroundings. There s so much knowledge buried in the ancient times. They are instilled in the world around us. Conserving them can help us solve many world problems.
I am not sure if I would take aspirin or not. There are certainly more benefits, but the drawbacks are there too. Depends why I am taking it.
we should stop cutting down trees and stop building so many things like buildings ect.
conservation affect places with high biodiversity by preseving intranet food webs
make them useful and though national parks
It's important to protect areas with high biodiversity. Conservation and supporting the rights of indigenous people are important. We must also support forest dwellers and make sure they are driven out of their homes by relentless urbanization.
I come from Portugal and a couple of years ago there was a law where you had to cut down the trees that were next to the road and I did not like that so if I knew I would have been even sadder :(
All the places with nature are valuable resources and places. The knowledge about medicine changes the way I look at conversation because now I know that saving places can also save lives. We can best protect nature by encouraging people not to cut down trees, and things like that. Conversation affect places with high biodiversity by saving more lives, as I have said before.
It is very important to protect these resources, so we must stop illegal hunting and cutting down trees.
we can protect them by stopping deforestation (also known as habitat loss)
Stop so many people from cutting down so many trees, stop illegal hunting, get people to use their cars less, and not let certain areas be owned by humans, and for them to stay uncleared.
The fact of being able of obtaining medical products which can cure different illnesses in humans makes us realise the importance of preserving our environment. However, we shouldn't look at it by a selfish point of view. That is, we shouldn't think that we must protect Earth because if not, we aren't going to be able to have benefits. We must think in a more thorough way, saying: Are we doing our best to respect nature as it always respects us? Are we even conscious of the consequences of our acts? Or we just think of the benefits these actions have for humans? We mustn't forget we aren't "the species". We are just one more species which live in our World and we should take care of our environment. Not only because we should be thankful for the things it has given to us, but also because be know for sure that respect is the base for everything good to happen. And making everybody aware of the importance of preserving the Earth must happen as soon as possible.
불법 사냥을 막음으로써 그들을 보호 할 수 있습니다
not letting people cut trees
We can protect them by not cutting down trees and plants, preserving the land, and not clearing it. We can save the animal species by stopping illegal hunting.
Lo afecta rompiendo cadenas tróficas, tenemos que volver conciente a la gente de los daños causados.
talar menos arboles usar menos fabricas
Nicole,Sophia,Mike and Anne said we are belong to nature so we have to keep our nature.
Conservation helps to protect the homes of unique species of animals like birds, large cats, fish, bees and many more. It can also help with plants like ferns, horsetail (both ferns and horsetail have been around since the period of the dinosaurs), trees and others. It helps me understand that some people want to study more plants, animals and insects without trying to harm them to get more knowledge of the things that can produce medicines. e can protect them by illuminating poaching of rhinos and elephants, which by the way is already illegal because they are on the endangered list, limit the number of hunters and do a catch and release program to ensure that pregnant animals of an endangered species can safety have their young and when their baby is strong enough release both baby and mom back where they belong. We can also set up cameras in areas that hold a large diversity of animals to look for people illegally hunting and to see how the animals are doing.
If that works for you, then fine (just don't do it in public, you will most defiantly attract unwanted or the wrong attention).
That's a good idea, but how will we keep illegal tree cutters from destroying both the trees and these possibly cancer curing plants?
De teniendo el uso ilegal
WE CAN PROTECT THEM BY STOPPING ILLEGAL HUNTING AND TELL PEOPLE NOT TO CUT THE TREES :)
We can protect the environment stoping the deforestation and contamination.
And now I know what medicine is better for me a and my family and the origins of other medicines.

Stop illegal hunting and qrow more trees for one that you cut
stop illegal hunting
Now that we have learned about this matter I feel that its vital that we protect this valuable resource not only for wildlife but for human-kind also. My opinion is instead of destroying the earth because of our needs we should find a more sustainable way to get medicine and to help people in need. If we want to try and get our planet back in shape we need to respect each other and the natural habitat surrounding us.
Being an Indian, I am used to traditional ways of using herbs as daily food. There is an old saying in my place, that goes like "food is medicine".The world's foremost literature "The Vedas" dedicates an entire section to "Ayurveda". Here we consider each and every plant species as a potential medicine to cure various diseases.
Nature is worshipped and glorified in my country and thereby we preserve and conserve nature and its potentialities.
Conservation of areas with high biodiversity is of the utmost importance. If we continue to deforest and destroy such areas, we may lose the chance to find valuable, life-saving medicine.
This video helped me also consider the importance of protecting and investing in First Nations' and traditional medicine practices and knowledge because as demonstrated with the history of aspirin, they might already be aware of natural compounds that solve modern health problems--but people outside of their communities may not be aware of the benefits because the biochemistry of these compounds have never been explored. Using science to research and test how these natural compounds work, traditional medicine can greatly inform and improve modern medicine.
We can protect nature by stopping product production that cuts down trees and harms animals.
Stop illegal hunting
We should avoid cutting down trees because we might not know which type of tree you are cutting, that's why we are encouraged ''when we cut down one tree, plant two''
Stop illegal hunting, not cutting many trees and not using cars if possible, and more...
I think that asprin should be given in a limited supply so that humans don't go over the top, like they normally do. A lot of wild plants are used in asprin, causing myself to believe it is at everyone's (human's and nature's) best interest to conserve. Watching this TedEd helps remind me even more how much the ancient people had it right. Thank you for reading.
Conservation helps places of high biodiversity to continue t support the array of plants and animals.
This conservation should carry over into traditional medicinal practice's plants as well as repopulation through planting more of those plants as they can be valuable and help many people.
Medics and doctors should consider the negative impacts of the materials and chemicals needed in medicine to the environment. Scientists and researchers can participate by finding substitutes for harmful chemicals. We can protect these resources by stopping illegal trading and poaching.
In spite of using the modern medicine is more often than the tradition one, we must protect our natural sourses and we can do it by preserving the nature with minimal interferense with it. I believe that almost every medical drug originates from the knowledge and discovery of the ancient people. And my opinion is if we want to be more competent in medicine, we have to think more about our nature and how to use these sourses in a right way
After seeing the video about the horseshoe crab, I think it's important to think how much we rely on nature, and the importance of nature conservation.
After watching the video, I have begun to respect these plants and animals for their contributions. Almost all our medicines come from nature so we must respect them and live in harmony with them and not destroy them.
I live in Ecuador and our Amazon Region is being affected mainly by the straction of fossil fuels; I think that implementing better laws to protect the area would make a big change.
Conserving and limiting usage of electricity or any other power that can cause negative effects in the world
The traditional use of herbs and medicines is very useful and it have very good impact. In India also many people rely on home remedies for curing their disease. In India people are majorly rely on ayurvedic medicines. All these traditional medicines knowledge is a valuable resource. But most of these valuable resources are found in forests and mountains but it is affected by deforestation activities. So we shoul conserve them to save iur traditional and valuable resource.
It is important to protect our natural resources as we get a lot of benefits from them. As what we have learned from the videos, most of these vaccines and *********** from different diseases come from different plants and animals. Losing these valuable resources would definitely endanger humanity as well. Again, as what has always been repeated, we must always ensure the sustainability of our resources to ensure that our sources of things will still be there even after millions of years.
natural resources especially trees are very important for us. they are the base of modern medicinal evolution. nowadays medicinces are created from different kind of chemicals which can cure us and sometimes it can damage our iternal system.
we can protect these valuable resources by telling people about advantages of trees.
Well, with what I have learned, the beneficial properties of nature seem very important to me because thanks to it many people have discovered new formulas or new ways of using things, so it must be very important to protect nature, for this we must promote talks or help to make people aware of how important and valuable nature and the species that inhabit it are.
This helps us to learn that we should save the rainforest not just for other people, but to help save ourselves too.
Firstly when we see or buy any medicine the idea generally come in our mind is that really it will help or not. But when it helps then only we realise it's importance.
We can protect them by not cutting down the trees and stopping the illegal hunting.
I wonder how willow bark taste like.
Conservation of resources affects places with high biodiversity like the Amazon rainforest in a beneficial manner. The people of Sumeria were clearly not selfish in utilizing resources for traditional medicine, and I could say this since we can still see a number of willow trees present today. Furthermore, in order for us to protect and conserve our resources, we should not squander what we have right now and we should also use eco-friendly materials to lessen the pollution that can cause harmful effects to our ecosystem.
These resources are valuable and it's important to protect them because they help with creating medicines and we can learn more about their benefits.
We need to protect areas with high biodiversity because those are the areas where the next discoveries in medicine and cures will be found.
IDK
In nature we can find most if not all solutions. Loosing biodiversity means potentially loosing the key to current ailments and conditions. the best way to protect is first getting to know nature and then having respect for the inhabitants of those areas.
taking more care of the trees and not cutting them
We can plant trees and not cut down trees.
omg this is so cool i did not know how medicene was even made!!!
we can protect them by using less car, which can help to change the climate change also and good for us too and not cutting down the trees.
This doesn't change the way I look at nature conservation because I'm used to it. In my culture we like to use natural remedies. conservation affects places with high biodiversity because people cut down the tree's. First nations medical and traditional medicine practices and knowledge was pretty random but smart and it's what led to the medicine we have now and they are very valuable sources. we can protect them by not allowing tree's to be cut down
By conserving these forests you are protecting something that could be a potential life saver in the future. It changes my way of thinking because modern medicine and traditional arent that different it seems. They both have science behind it. Yes they are valuable and we can protect them by conserving them and limiting commercial exploitation
.
las pibas soy vegeana xdxdxdxdxdx
Do minimal cutting down of trees and if done place a seed of the tree in the ground. And stop wasting food by throwing it in the trash
these medicine plants and tress are highly valuable. they are at great risk nowadays because trees are being cut faster than ever. government and non-government organizations should take steps for preserving these valuable trees. and the individuals and companies who cut trees should be held responsible for cutting tress. there should be a strict law that if somebody cut one tree they have to plant 2 trees in its place. if they don't follow the rules legal action will be taken against them
SAVE THE TREES!!!
not to cut trees and less use of vehicles like cars, buses.
We need to analyzetheir genes and make their gene maps. So out of protecting them on their habitat, we can also have a chance for regrowing them when they die out.
Couldn't we just find a new form of medicine?
It changes the way I look at the First Nations' and the traditional medicine practices and knowledge I never knew that they would be that smart to figure out if you scraped the bark of a particular type of tree your pain would disappear. I mean who would think of scraping a particular type of tree?! These are valuable resources because they help people avoid pain. We can protect them by stopping people from cutting down so many trees and to stop illegal hunting because that would stop the system going.
It doesn't make me appreciate medicine that much knowing the cost it makes to the environment but we should have a limit on how much they can affect the environment and stop unnecessary hunting on plants and animals.
the happen to beelow in to ofr yuo lernig of doctor soy mexicano yjos de ****
Conservation is very important because it may protect cures we have not yet discovered. Ancient knowledge is important - as we destroy forests we may be destroying the knowledge of how to get medicine from the plants.
We can protect them by stopping illegal hunting and not allowing guns at all.
it is cool yet and guy guy follow me on tiktok nothing_coolyt
The good things and bad things go hand in hand. Our ancestors had been living in the world with using the traditional natural herbs living long lifetimes.
The traditional doctors need to able to produce the traditional medicines showing the values of them to get awareness from the public until people trust them. In our country, 99% of people are using the medicine from the foreign country.
stop cutting trees and using cars and stop reducing garbage and plastic
Students responses: Protect the animals from hunters. Not cut down the trees. Do not over take the resources. Plant more trees. Use less paper. Plant 1 tree for every tree taken down. Leave the trees that have fallen. Do not waste paper.
leave the rain forests alone so they can thrive, and the animals
yeah!
I think using herbal drugs is greater than atificial medicine. Doctors recommend to take natural medicine because when you take atificial medicine your organism will get used to it but when you have headache you should use some herbal tea for instance chamomile or lawander. It will be more healthier for your organism and health.
To my mind, plants, herbs and other natural resources are very important for humanity. Almost all medics recommend their patients to take artificial drugs, but they aren’t as useful as natural treats. Artificial drugs consist of chemical elements while natural treats grow in the forests, fields, valleys and have a lot of important parts. So we need to protect forests with plants. First and the main thing is to stop cutting down trees and bushes.
This is very intriguing, I did not know much about Aspirin before this. I guess I never really took a close look.
If we protect nature, it gives more .We should learn from our ancestors how medicines is made without destroying the nature. Also, we should plant trees , when we cut them.
We can strictly check our overgrazing of animals, stop the wastage of many useful resources like water, soil, etc., over hunting, building and maintaining national parks, biosphere reserves, wildlife sanctuaries. But for all this to succeed, the citizens have to become more responsible. Until and unless people know the value of these measures, any number of government schemes would prove useless.
Promote the restoration of biodiversity by having strict government rules/legislation to reduce illegal "timber trades", effectively promote campaigns against deforestation, introduce the basics of sustainable developments in the childhood education system and finally, do something about it rather than what says in the book, stays in the book.
(referring to my country).

Wow that’s awesome we can try to spread the news
Stop hunting, planting these valuable plants and should promote knowledge.

We must encourage the traditional medicine
The nature is amazing and full of secrets and mysteries which related to most of the things we use every day. Due to its importance and meaning, we should protect the forest and all places or things that belong to nature by not do illegal harm on them such as hunting, cut down trees, etc
protect and conserve nature by public awareness campaign about its benefits or source to making medicine.
yah
preserving land and not cutting down trees and planting more of them should help. and boycotting companies that harm the environment and abuse its resources and holding them accountable
Instead of cutting the trees, plant more trees. And also don't hunt illegally to save the animal species.
kind of make thier own spase and don't let people go near them
we could... by stopping too much pollution
We can't stop them because it is also needed but we can control them by not following the polcy or law of the government. Replant trees if they cut.
I think that we can protect them with not to allow illegal cutting lots of trees and hunting. I hope every person around the world love nature and natural resources.
reducing illegal hunting.
Our resources are finite, we can best protect them by researching new ways to obtain these chemicals used in medicine and advocate for conservation.
Places with high biodiversity have always been valuable and one of the reasons is because of how they can contribute to medicine. One can learn a lot from traditional medicine practices because they are based in truth. We can best protect them by enforcing more restrictions and not condemning First Nations.
They're very valuable and we can protect them by not cutting down trees and plants, preserving the land, and not clearing it all out. We can save the animal species as well by stopping illegal hunting.
we can protect by have more laws enfored on hunting
Due to natures large benefits towards the creation of medicine, it would be best if we could conserve the resources such as trees by not cutting them down and keeping the growth of them steady in order to keep up with consumer needs and rapid sales.
There is much less erosion and more wildlife
We can protect natural habitats by enforcing laws and helping ways to reduce climate change.
we can stop performing deforestation.
We can protect them by stopping buildings from being built there.
We can protect them by only taking what we need and giving earth the time to remake what we took.
We can protect them by enforcing laws on reducing the intake and giving Earth time to remake.
We can do this by protecting animal habitats, not clearing lands, and making animal hunting illegal
we can protect them by enforcing additional restrictions and being mindful as to the trees and plants that we take and giving the Earth ample time to remake and regrow what we took.
Not allow people to cut down trees and stop illegal hunting
After seeing this I did see medicine different and how it was discovered over a tree.. It just shows how people wonder and that can lead to something huge like creating a medicine. Yes these are valuable resources because they helped us find a medicine
Natural resources are valuable we can learn a lot from it and we did.
these areas need to be preserved, there are many countries and people who don't have access to modern-day items, and rely on the traditional medicine of nature.
We can protect them by enforcing hunting and regulation laws.
be mindful of nature
We can use more environment safe vs using easier resources rather than safer.
The best way to protect natural resources is to stop mass cutting of trees, regrow plants, create sanctuaries to ensure species live on.
These are valuable resources and we need to start treating the environment much better.
Make much stricter laws to stop the occurrence of illegal hunting.
the best way is to stop illigal hunting
we can find more sustainable areas to build in
the best way to protect these valuable resources is by protecting our rainforest, replanting trees and other plants, recycling, and donate money to foundations that contribute to protecting wildlife and national parks.
We can help by stopping destroying nature, For example recycling so we don’t have to cut down more trees. Also protecting endangered animals and when we go trailing not leaving trash behind. We also can volunteer for groups that grow plants for medicine purposes.
first we can stop hurting the planet and only do ecofriendly things, then we can use seeds and replant the plants and help the ecosystem grow
We can stop illegal hunting and put a limit on the amount of trees to be cut down every year.
We can contribute to biodiversity in woodlands by doing controlled burns to support the ecosystem by helping to prevent wildfires which can destroy them.
we need to protect the animals on our planet by not littering
by cutting down less trees
Nature holds a lot of answers that modern professions look for. This is a process called biomimicry in which humans copy a natural process to their benefit.
Put in laws restricting people from illegally hunting/poaching and set up reserves where you are not allowed to cut down trees or destroy wildlife.
I think that the knowledge of ancient peoples is valuable, but outdated. Medicine has stepped far ahead, leaving traditional medicine behind.
Conservation protects areas with high diversity by protecting endangered species that might live there, and I’m not talking about just animals, I’m also talking about plants. Next, yes, these are valuable resources. The plant that helps with headaches is truly amazing. We can protect them by planting more of them with seeds, protecting their habitat, things like that.
PUTTING A STOP ILLEGAL HUNTING
AVOIDING CUTTING TREES
TREATING THESE SOURCES AS SOMETHING VALUABLE.
nature conservation keeps living things in the places where they belong. this gives them a chance of survival. Keeping plants and animals in their proper habitats is extremely important for humanity and nature. if people properly studied animals and plants they could find multiple cures for diseases. To best protect them we need to keep them healthy as well as not taking advantage of them
Conservation affects places with high biodiversity by helping to preserve climate change, it decreases species diversity, and it helps to preserve biodiversity. It changes the way I look at using our modern-day medicines, I feel as if I shouldn't use them at all due to how many natural resources are needed to produce them. These natural resources are valuable and we need them to live. We can best protect them by putting conservation into effect.
Conservation affects places with high biodiversity by being able to protect these species who are dwelling in these set lands and provide the right climate and habitat for them. It changes the way I look in a way that it provides for me a better understanding of how some of these practices work/ tie in together. Yes, these are valuable resources. We can best protect them by people working together for this cause and educating the masses about the importance of this topic and what to do moving onwards.
A place of conservation is important to any natural habitat because it allows animals in that environment to live freely without any threat of their home being destroyed. It makes me feel better to know that these medicines can be formed from natural habitats for many different uses and that we can use in the future to learn more about medicine.
Conservations helps places with high biodiversity by keeping that biodiversity safe from our own destructions; conserving the nature that does not deserve to be treated any different than how it is now. Conservation changes the way that I look at first medicine practices and knowledge because I see that they the first medicine practice used nature effectively as they understand that nature can give them a means of help. These are definitely valuable resources as they have billions of users worldwide and I believe that if we can rationale them and have limits where we are not taking more than we need I think that would be a good way to protect them.
We can stop hunters by stop chomping this nature's such as trees, grass, and bushes.
We can protect them by not killing them
Not allow people to cut lots of trees and by stopping illegal hunting
These are valuable natural sources that need to be protected with the help of the government
Use less cars, factorys and stuff like that.
Biodiversity refers to the variety of life. When biodiversity is high, it means there are many different types of organisms and species. Cleaner shrimp and fish remove parasites to keep many species healthy and thriving.
By having a save the trees program
we can stop poachers
We can protect them by stopping illegal hunting and reducing the deforestation in places with high biodiversity
stopping deforestation and taking care of poachers
a
We can protect these natural habitats by supporting companies who help these habitats and helping reduce climate change so that not only natural habitats are protected but we are also protected.
I think that now its more important to protect them and stopping cut lots of threes
stop deforestation
Because this places are so biodiversty have so many types of resources that can be used for so many things not only in the medicine in almos all, yes this resources are so importants and valuables because are things naturals that then humans can not do, we can do organizations and starting difunding with familiars and start with us
We should take use of the resources in a sustainable way.
- Nature is so important that they even give us efficient medicines, we damage it and that is wrong; We can plant new trees in areas where there is little or no vegetation, we can use nature well and not abuse its resources, we can save and heal forests, etc.
stop the illegal hunt, thats one of the causes that species extinguish
With this activity, I think we all understood that each medicinal source has a symbolic history, in the past with our ancestors they worked over the years to arrive at what we now have known as aspirin and many other drugs.
They are a very important part of the actual medicines and without them probably medicine wouldn't exist and it's the future of it to. We can best protect them by doing ilegal the deforestation and doing community groups for planting, etc.
- Nature is so important that they even give us efficient medicines, we damage it and that is wrong; We can plant new trees in areas where there is little or no vegetation, we can use nature well and not abuse its resources, we can save and heal forests, etc.
protect the people and forests
I feel that it does not affect anything on the contrary it is better and very valuable to have a lot of variety of species
In a positive way, it correctly maintains and cares for the environments, it changes drastically, because before home remedies were used and currently advanced medicines are used to combat diseases, yes, taking care of the environment.
We can protect now the trees and some ilegal hunting
imposivelity for in learing different thing yes is correct, taking care of yourself and protecting.
If we can protect the trees by not cutting them down etc. or if they cut down a tree they have to plant two
We can protect them by enforcing laws on reducing the intake and giving Earth time to remake
In animals it changes a lot due to its habitat and resources are very valuable and also the amosic zone has a lot of responsibility to take good care of them, because it can see the hunters
that you have to preserve natural things because thanks to them you can do things like
Aspirin
To protect them, and we can stop doing activity is that it may affect them.
this is a good study guide
Nature conservation is important because many of the things that we use to make medicine come from things that are found in nature. Many times nations that are underdeveloped with fewer ways of experimenting to produce medicines use the resources in nature to help cure their illnesses. These are valuable resources that we can learn from to create new medicines for other people to use. We would need to make sure that we protect these resources by planted more trees and plants of the same kind to keep those resources.
Wow I'm surprised Hipokrat's used such an advanced drug
Yes we should protect natural resources because the cures to many diseases can be found in plants.
By choosing politician which value nature and do not let industries destroy nature . Instead work on making earth more greener and peaceful.
errr
Do everything with knowledge and awareness
Traditional medicine practices have also got their own importance.
We can protect those precious resources by conserving them following ex-situ as well as in-situ conservation practices and governmental bodies should really be serious to bear their responsibilities. Illegal hunting should be completely stopped.
People keep cutting down trees but they are important. Know, people use chemicals to make medicines. All resources are valuable. Stop cutting down trees.
Let the wild stay wild, don't disturb it.
We can protect the by avoiding illegel hunting and stop cutting a lot of trees.
asprin and Advil really healp with heart attacks
First i believe that we must recognize the importance of medicine and be aware of where it comes from and not abuse it and ti protect them it would be to create laws that prevent over-exploration
We could up the preservation laws and enforce them more strictly by fining a huge amount to help deter people from illegal picking.
The First Nations' take pride and value in their living organisms. We know that we shouldn't hunt on unceded or illegal territories, don't cut lots of trees ( we need oxygen). We still need these resources, yet we could use it in a responsible way like the first nations, use all of it, not just some.
We can protect them by stopping illegal hunting. And also stop cutting down our plants and trees. These are very significant resources for us so we need to protect them.
protect culture and wild life, stop polluting the ocean and no more harmful smoking!
We can save them by cutting trees a little less, and by ending Illegal hunting.
İnsanların artık doğa olmadan hayatta kalmalarına imkan yok. Doğa yaşarsa insan yaşar, doğa ölürse insan da ölür.
They are valuable resources that we need to protect by making policies in order to not overconsume them and get rid of them.
Setting laws to protect them
We need to conserve the land because they can show us medicine innovations or other new things. We can see how medicine and nature go hand in hand since plants influence medicine practices. We should make laws in ways we can conserve them like preventing them from getting cut down
Conservation of places with high biodiversity allow us to harvest and possibly discover more medicinal plants. It doesn't change my perspective on first nations and traditional medicine/knowledge because western medicine had to develop from ancient knowledge as well. They are valuable resources. Conservation is how we can best protect them.
We can protect them by stopping deforestation and illegal hunting!
