Global Citizen, Part 4: Doing Good on a Small Scale

Lesson created by Tobye Ertelt using

Video from The Responsible History Education Action YouTube Channel

Let’s Begin…

In Part 3 of the series, we looked at how you could do good on a large scale. Affect change globally through organizations and programs. In part 4, we look at how you can affect change locally.

Create and share a new lesson based on this one.

Additional Resources for you to Explore
Search your local area for places in which you can help on a smaller scale than what we looked at in session 3. Here are some suggestions of places to look: Food Banks, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Local public libraries, homeless shelters, animal shelters, animal rehabilitation centers, Veteran's hospitals/ rehabilitations, Habitat for Humanity, assisted living homes, memory care homes, nature reserves, and Salvation Army.Find at least one that interests you and research it. Interview a person or research the charities work. Think about how helping in a small way locally can change things globally.
