The Svalbard Seed Vault is not the only seed vault located in the world.  Generally, each country has some place that it stores a reserve of seeds.  Colorado Vault Is Fort Knox For The World's Seeds is one located in the United States.  Listen to its story on NPR!  

One important fact to remember is that:  That Arctic Seed Vault Isn’t Just There for a Doomsday.  Syria was one of the first countries to request some its deposit be returned and used to reestablish lost agriculture.  Read about it here.
