For cars I think we can make them electric by putting solar panels on them so they can move.
Solar farms are an example. They help reduce the use of fossil fuels, but they require a lot of unshaded space, which means clearing trees.
AI technology helps people to live more conveniently. However, it also brings many problems such as private right.
Widley provided food is a technological enhancement. We don't have to grow our own food at home, we can buy it, but it leaves a huge footprint, wasting water, burning fossil fuels, and using precious resources. It's convenient,...but is it worth it.
Solar panels, electric cars, no fossil fuel like coal, etc.
Increasing agricultural productivity to feed more people. The methods can lead to other problems like pollution, eutrophication, and habitat loss.
I believe that we can make lots of stuff electric instead of using fossil fuels.
"Smartphones" making people "dumber"
We could put solar panels on buildings
Genetically Modified Organisms can help food grow faster and with more nutrients to feed more people, but it also raises many ethical concerns.
The cars that we have pollute a lot and that's a problem. That's why we're making electric cars for less pollution
A cat treadmill only problem cats can suffer
Solving the problem of gas cars with electric powered vehicles has lead to new problems in the world. Now these cars are demanding electricity that comes from fossil fuel sources. This has unintentionally lead to the emission of more carbon dioxide than was intended, because many people don't have access to, or don't use enough renewable energy to power their electric vehicles.
Farmers in Australia tried to get rid of crop pests using cane toads, but now these toads are a highly invasive species and are destroying the native ecosystems
creating a new type of fuel creating it could potentially waste more resources
One example of solving a problem but creating another one is with television. When the TV what first invented, it was useful. The news was broadcasted and got around faster. But now there is TV addiction. And even though news is still spreading around, the other channels on TV can be addicting.
I think that a gun creates and brings comfort to some people but sometimes that person overuses it and kills people that were innocent.
For farming, humans made chemicals to stop pesticides, but these chemicals then get into our food and we then consume them.
It made me recall one of the first Earth School lessons I watched. It was about cellphones, they are great in order to help us solving a huge amount of problems, but they are also a great source of damage to the earth.
using aeroplanes for travel increased carbon emissions, use of modern-day smartphones for communication and general use required the backbreaking mining of the special metals and materials needed, use of smartphones increases the risk of radiation-related illneses
shift to a more renewable energy source, solar/wind energy!
Smartphones and computer are useful for helping people to access information quickly, but the downside is they remove important natural resources from the environment.
Pesticides are an example. They solve the problem of insects ruining plants but they create a new problem- They sometimes kill pollinators like bees and they're a danger to the environment.
One example of how solving one problem with technology can create other problems was the invention of fire. This invention allowed people to stay warm and cook their food. However, the creation of fire led to crimes such as arson. Additionally, when fires get out of control or are started accidentally, the impacts can be deadly.
London bridge might need putting up a bit higher because cruise ships might need to get through and they can't because it is too low down
We should use the least amount of energy as possible because the more energy we use, we have a higher percent chance with incidents.
- Searching for a solution to the gas cars problem with electric powered vehicles. Now these cars are demanding electricity that comes from fossil fuel sources to produce energy to feed their engines. This has lead to the emission of more carbon dioxide that was intended and a waste of electricity when we have to charge them.
Cellphones: parents and kids are spending way too much time on them, which can ruin their eyesight. And what if you had little kids (say, me?) and they really wanted to play a family game. Other family members would be like, "Sorry, I can't. I'm on my phone."
For Nuclear Power plants we have lots of clean energy, but then they meltdown and explode.
we learned in the mobile phone lesson that our smart phones cause a huge lot o environmental and social problems. Smartphones are the most important part of our lives now that we can't live without them. I think we should think of ways to solve them too.
Building of dams displace large communities out of habitats they've lived in for years. This becomes an issue when they are left without any sources to support their livelihoods. There should be an understanding between the local communities and the Government regarding the displacement issues, as was included in previous lessons.
Plastic bottles and mobile phones are the biggest problems from my point of view. I mean, we need a container for water, soda or syrup or anything else and we consume that content, we throw away them and buy a new one. The same matter with mobile phones, if we want another, better or more advanced than the anterior, we buy and throw away, again.
Nuclear power creates energy with no emissions, but lots of emissions are created when it is mined.
Smartphones
allows you to...
-contact people
-Learn easily
-save lots of data
BUT
it leads to screen addictio, social media addiction, which leads to isolation from other people.
new homes for people can lead to deforest ashen
Logging can create more room for things such as parking lots and houses, but it is very damaging the the environment
solar panels on cars or making them electric
building houses for people but cutting down trees to make those houses isn't very good 😡😠👿👎🏻
I think solar panels are a great use
We built dams to solve problems of irrigation and electricity and created problems in the environment.
For cars I think we can make them electric by putting solar panels on them so they can move.
Internet has made the life of human beings very easy. It has solved many problems. But also it has ruined some of the lives because many people are being addicted to it. That's another problem. That's perfect example. Sometimes the solution creates new problem.
The invention of disposable plastics were meant to make life more convenient for use but now it is overly used and causes ocean pollution due to irresponsible dumping of waste
Burning of plastic or incineration actually reduces the number of plastic wastes and benefits areas with small space for landfills, however, the burning releases chemicals into the air causing more health risk and environmental risk with greenhouse gas emissions.
like fixing the roads make other problems like traffic jams and sometimes they do not fix it well and then there will be lots of holes and bumps in the road and when they try to fix that the same thing will sometimes happen. Ċikka age 11
computers are good because they let you learn more stuff but it makes some people addicted
Make all cars electric
the gasses that are released by cars is another thing that helped cause climate change.(to help this is to limit the amount of car rides a day!)
Well we can staart using solar panels in our cars , and after that , reduce the price of this , and the accidents , we can start giving lessons to our future drivers with some experts and then do the prove.
드론과 차를 만들어 교통이 혼잡해짐
Excelente idea
We use a lot of cars to help us to move from place to place but we do pollution and make the air not clean
Plumbing helps water enter and waste leave your home, but over time the pipes can crack and spill both these things. It can cause a boil order (not that I really follow that because if your thirsty you get a drink, plus it takes like five minutes to boil water although it feels like five hours) and well I don't know how well animals tolerate us digging up those pipes and replace them every time they break.
The only problem with that is when it is cloudy, the car wouldn't get power, so it would need a fully charged battery as backup or even some tiny wind turbines.
Nicole, Sophia, Mike and Anne said we must saving energy first.
For cars I think we make electric by putting solar panels
on them so they can move, and so that we can save petrol
and electricity and we can avoid air pollution and it is eco friendly
Solar pannels can help by reducing the use of fossil fuels..... but the problem would be to cut the trees which will harm the environment....
For cars I think we make electric by putting solar panels
on them so they can move, and so that we can save petrol
and electricity and we can avoid air pollution and it is eco friendly
Smartphones can raise debates on peoples intelligence
For factory’s they make good things but leave carbon dioxide
We use microwave to heat foods for our confort but the radiations of microwave are harmful.
Plastic wrap it stops food going of but it's terrible for the environment.
Tooth floss keeps our teeth clean but many animals choke on it every year
Plastic packaging helps to protect and preserve goods but it is non-biodegradable.
Keurig cups are convenient to have one cup at a time but create more waste for the environment.
What comes to mind are wind turbines that are a great form of green energy...but they can affect the migratory patterns and general health of birds and bats.
How about phones at first they started out not many people had them not really hight demand but now the demand isso hight and the factories that create them are poluting the earth along with how they get recycled so phones are bad at birth and at deth
Stop using harder resources to get for products.
For cars we can make electric cars
Electric cars, more sustainable power plants (windmill and solar farms), more solar panels on houses, bigger solutions, generally less children.
Gadgets like phones, laptops, television, tablets etc. have definitely made our lives much easier but mining for the minerals, metals and other materials that are required in making them demands destruction of ecosystems, high amounts of energy, and relocation of thousands of people.
Phones were a problem at one point, they were heavy and large to carry around, however, mobiles have helped that problem as well as increase easy communication between people. However, as one of the first Earth School lesson shows, the materials used in mobiles, particularly smartphones has caused problems.
Another example is electric cars. Though they do not use fossil fuels to be powered - the charging stations could be solar-powered - they could cause accidents as they can be quiet compared to petrol or diesel cars. This means people walking along the road or other cars could not realisethey are there, causing an accident.
The invention of cement paved way to construct concrete houses and buildings which will last to 40-50 years. However, cement factories create air pollution in the nearby areas which causes respiratory problems to individuals.
Asthma inhalers are apparently really bad for the environment, even though they are a necessity for so many people worldwide.
Solving the problem of easy energy access lead to climate change and a lot of other issues (hurricanes, rise of water levels, etc.)
For example when you install an air conditioning unit, but it increases the energy consumption in the house.
Using wind turbines that use solar energy instead of electricity/gas is a good idea if you think about it, right?
With the growing population, spaces became in demand. We found ways of building tall skyscrapers to create more space for people to be able to move around and be accommodated in. We were also able to create space by reclaiming parts of the sea, filling it in with land so we could build buildings in it. This may have solved problems with space by has created problems in our ecosystem. tall buildings blocked the sunlight which plants and trees need to survive. Plants became rare in big cities which creates cathastrohic effect in our environment. Reclamation also poses big problems, as marince ecosystem and wildlife are affected. As the water level in the sea becomes higher due to the melting of the poalr caps, flooding during rainy seasons become more intense. These are just some problems we are facing which are caused by unsustainable development.
mobile phones is a device which was created for solving problems of people like first they used to send letter which reach to the receiver after many days sometimes this process take months. secondly people can get more information through it. but people are using it whole day which is effecting their health.
For the cars question, I think people should use their own strength to drive cars instead of electricity.
People created the internet to make sharing information and data much more easy. However, many people share information that is not true and can't be trusted. That has made it more difficult to know what is true and false.
People invented nuclear power but that led to nuclear waste that needed to be stored somewhere.
we can use other resources to power cars
There are a lot of examples of solving problems with technology. For instance, electric cars, solar panels, grocery stores, are just some of the ways that you can solve problems "technological". But technology is convenient but it also causes many problems. So, I think we should lower the use of technology, even though it is comfortable and convenient.
I think making a building where the glass was actually see through solar panels, would be great as they could be, for example, used in tall skyscrapers to help with design and also provide sustainable electricity on a large scale. This might also be cost efficient as there would not be any electric bills to pay as the source for the light, is free ( sunlight).
We can use electric cars instead of a car that doesn't use electricity. We can also use solar panels to make the cars move.
A great example is the smartphone. It could make our lives easier and convenient by just a simple click, yet it could influence our nervous system and personal relationship with others.
Social media is a way for us to connect with each other, but can also brings problems such as cyberbullying.
I don't know sorry
I can’t wait for electric planes.
having smartphone caused a lot of accidents because sometimes get distracted
Using plastic even though plastic is cheap many animals are being harmed because of this action. So wa’ll all of this is happening you might be thinking that “oh it’s cheap and why do I care” you should care because it’s polluting the earth and ruining this world.
Mobile phones and computers solve a lot of problems but they can produce trash when they are programed to fail after a certain period (Planned Obsolescence).
For houses, I would use solar panels for opening the window
machines are helpful but they lead to bugs and system failures
I would say more use of solar panels instead of fuel to protect the environment.
More smartphones = less rare earth metals
That a fireplace is good but it makes smoke.
Cellphones help in communication and brings people together but creates another problem because of how environmentally bad it is from making to use to disposal
among us is better than fortnite i think
Every year, people are relocated from their lands in view of development in most developing countries.
The land of local rural people is bought by the government to make more factories, buildings, expand cities, etc. In exchange, the residents are allocated apartments in a closed environment with bare minimum facilities. They are also given jobs that are mostly of manual labour. So as a result, they lose their lands, their way of life and even their autonomy in most cases.
The buildings that are built are of poor quality, generate a ton of waste and do more harm than good.
Wouldn't it be better to empower the villagers to incorporate modern technology into their original lifestyle and build around their culture instead of trying to replace them completely..?
The solution of using concrete to make bridges is endangering lives because concrete can form cracks very easily.
Computers are good at research and work but they create addiction and people have to study at home.
If we made cars electric we would have to ensure chargers are accessible to everyone.
Is hydraulics a major untapped resource?
Is it possible to find a completely new way to build structures?
An example of how solving one problem with technology is: computers but computers use minerals they aren't infinite and computers harm the environment. Computers are very useful but still, computers harm the environment and we should protect the environment.
Yes making cars for example electrical completely isn't all that great yes it could be solar or powered by natural resources but the technology and money or material to make these cars could contain harmful elements for the body like phones and taking them apart could create the same damage over time to the people who do the labor to take them apart.
We can make solar chargers for cars to be powered with, and make solar panels on top to charge while driving.
making cars move with magnet for example chemicals that is under ground is magnetic we us the same side of the magnet and if two same magnet side dose not stick to gather so it will not touch the flour so it will be a flaying car
I want chemical engineer to solve the medicine for who panic or serious pain suffering before dead without feeling any thing.
eating candy tasts good but makes you fat, so we could make more healthier treats
Cars are convienient, and can get people where they need to go. But cars can polute the air with the gas it makes.
Foe exampe wind tribunes. They can reduce greenhouse gases but also, they can cause problems with birds. When they birds fly, they can hit wind tribunes
The advent growth of technology, it seems to bring benefits to any group of people regardless of their economic backgrounds, nonetheless increase the chance for human beings to get exposed to radioactivity
The creation of Refrigerators has helped many people store food but in the cost of our environment. The production of CFC's from the refrigerator has a devastating effect on our mother Earth.
Morphine?
There was a time when our country practiced CNG as fuels replacement for cars but due to several safety concerns and (reasons currently unknown to me) people reverted back to traditional fuel sources.
More cars imported due to demands, more fuel consumptions, drastically increased in rates of air pollution.
Constructions of new roads, expansions of pervious existing roads require chopping down trees. Further damaging the ecosystems as consequences.
Kotor is better than swtor.... I think.
One of the examples is electronics. For instance, phones, computers, laptops. They help people to find information quickly and even work online without leaving home. On the one hand, they perform a very important function and develop our humanity, but on the other hand, electronics has a lot of disadvantages. The main is that computers and phones have harmful effects on the Earth. They consist of chemical elements that emit unhealthy substances in the environment and thus kill the planet. The other disadvantage is that electronics reduce vision and harm the psychological state of the person.
Engineering is about solving problems in ways that help people. But sometimes the solutions create new problems.
For instance, when the bridge is built across the river, it can undermine the flow of the river although it is good for transporation.
Widley provided food is a technological enhancement. We don't have to grow our own food at home, we can buy it, but it leaves a huge footprint, wasting water, burning fossil fuels, and using precious resources. It's convenient,...but is it worth it.
More technology and ways to recycle waste products.
yah
We use transportation such as cars, airplanes, boats, and so on to travel. But the gas which come out from them is not good for our health and also for environment.
I like that idea!!
For vans I think we should use water(if light at night it will not work)
i think there is a lot of problems n our world which has not been fixed so like if we plant too much trees there would be less place for people to live
Solar panels can be used for other source of electricity.
Kareena (age 12):- About a 100 years ago, there were no smartphones. It was very hard to communicate. People has to use letters and they didn't know whether it would arrive safely at the other person's house. Then, smart (not actually) scientist/ engineers came out with a new device, smartphones. But, that let to an issue too. The cost associated with extracting the materials, the disposal of cellphones that more than 99.9% leaves a toxic imprint on Earth, and much much more.......................
That is what I think.
In a previous lesson where we talked about eating bugs instead of animals can save space and lower emissions would be beneficial for the environment but can cause some people to become upset.
I think the invention of electric car. This invention saves the loss of natural gas and oil. But in the other side, this car is expensive for buying.
We can use technology only when we need it or if it is very important
Phones are a good use of communication, however it can also access your privacy.
An example would be animal overpopulation and it could turn into more problems with stray animals being around or them getting killed in shelters because there's too many of them.
cars will create more pollution
To limit waste from cars they can start making more electric cars and make them more affordable
making electric cars more affordable
having electric powered cars can cause more fumes then gas cars.
start using compost as fuel
Cars produce air pollution and they also make traveling easier.
New source of fuel, but could use up that resource to create it.
Pesticides were used to ward off bugs from crops, however, those pesticides were extremely toxic and had negative effects on both the environment and consumers.
Solving the problem of how to make concrete heal itself would open up the problem of whether or not to recreate building with the better concrete
cars are worse then electric cars, so I think everyone should have electric cars
we can make more things electric rather than using fossil fuels.
Creating more housing for the growing population leads to more pollution, natural land and resources being used up.
Electric cars can eliminate gas waste pollution but also increases power usage and could cause people to charge their cars more often as they may not last as long as gas will
we need energy to power the stuff we use and in order to do that we need things like power plants that aren't that good
solar, wind powered items
I think that solving one problem can result in other problems so our engineers must be prepared to face the new challenges that lie ahead.
The inventions of self-driving cars could reduce car accidents but could also more human lazier with fewer responsibilities like driving. Also, people like the freedom of driving for some people it's an escape and you are gonna take that away from them because of other people's actions that they cant control.
The creation of phones has helped to increase communication between people, however the materials needed to make one can cause major damage to the environment.
People can live and work in buildings and protect themselves from bad weather, but it can destroy nature.
In the beginning, we face a problem with transporting goods and people faster so within time with the help of technology we went from using horses to automobiles. With the creation of automobiles while yes it helps people and goods move from one place to another more quickly it is causing air pollution.
the internet causes problems such as lower mental health
to solve a faster and easier way to go from one destination to another we have created self-driving cars which can create more accidents from malfunctioning software.
We could have more agricultural advancements that could feed more people naturally instead of consumer rates being so high in which more gases would pollute the air and contaminates would spread. Therefore natural gases and solar powered panels could solve many issues.
use different resources for cars.
electronics like phones and computers help you learn but they are addicting and they are hard to get off of.
Phones, the improvement of the cellular device has let to the mining of finite minerals all over the world. Oil, the use of oil for power and cars as had catastrophic damage to the environment
Wind Turbines. Pros: Cleaner, more eco-friendly way to get energy. Cons: Birds fly into them by accident, and it kills them. This is bad for endangered species.
Guns are good for hunting and making people feel safe but in the wrong hands can make people full unsafe and indangered
Wind turbines are great sources of energy and a great new technology providing energy to millions. The downside is they can take up a lot of space and can kill birds and flying wildlife.
Cars can be electric, and technology can run on energy from the sun, water and wind
With the age of technology comes the sharing of information which has lead to the dilemma of whether half of what we read or see on the internet is true. Currently, it's hard to make an accurate judgment of something without doing extensive research on the subject and fact checking ones source.
I think one of the best examples of creating new technology and having that create new problems would be the creations of weapons and nuclear devices. This is the best example in my opinion because the creating of weapons helped eliminate and speed up a battle or war and aiding the victor greatly but with that came much more deaths and injuries. Weapons created and huge problem not only to soldiers but to everyday citizens as they could also have a weapon in their possession and there could be crimes committed with this. Nuclear bombs made it worse because with the creating of a new device could come the destruction of the whole human population.
Creating plastic bottles so people have a disposable source to carry around water. Plastic is very dangerous and has many chemicals inside of it. At a certain amount of time the plastics toxic chemicals get released into the water making the water very toxic to humans. Because of that scientist recommend using metal bottles in replacement of plastic.
I think that we should use solar panels but that means we will only have the morning to do what we need to do.
Creating cars increases the chances of having a fatal accident which in turn kills humans.
Using an automobile to transfer to places is very helpful and makes the world move a lot faster, but automobiles such as cars and trucks emit carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases to the air. Greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide trap heat in the atmosphere and this causes the temperature to rise.
I THINK HYBRID ELECTRIC CARS, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT USED GAS AND FOR THAT MATTER WE WILL BE ABLE TO SAVE ENERGY.
By using technology in the form of a phone it can be very beneficial in society to connect humans from wherever whenever to come together but also, create other problems like being detrimental for our environment the way individuals handle getting rid of an old phone.
Creating cars increases the chances of having a fatal accident which in turn kills humans
Widley provided food is a technological enhancement. We don't have to grow our own food at home, we can buy it, but it leaves a huge footprint, wasting water, burning fossil fuels, and using precious resources. It's convenient,...but is it worth it.
Fast fashion is a new technological advancement that was made to help make more clothes in different styles more available to people, but it causes a huge amount of pollution as well as being made in unethical ways.
"Smartphones" making people "dumber"
One example of how solving one problem is we can develop renewable energy technology.
we need to find replacements for energys or materials that damage the earth
you could have solar panels in vehicles but also you could recover some of the energy used when you brake like in teslas
With cars, we can make the cars with solar panels, with this we dont contaminate the environment
I think that one example can be the solar panels, that they reduce the use of energy but they can quit you a lot of space if you want to use all the energy of the sunlight
An example can be in cars and what can be done is to make all the electric ones so that in this way they do not spend so much energy and the energy they produce would be solar
solar energy is the best example (for me) because its infinite eenrgy that we can use like in cars (in the future) or in houses
Searching for a solution to the gas cars problem with electric powered vehicles. Now these cars are demanding electricity that comes from fossil fuel sources to produce energy to feed their engines. Now these cars are demanding electricity that comes from fossil fuel sources. This has unintentionally lead to the emission of more carbon dioxide than was intended, because many people don't have access to, or don't use enough renewable energy to power their electric vehicles.
- You can create cars that move through the water, roads can be created with organic matter and you can also explore the aquatic world.
More electric bikes, less fossil fuel, take advantages of the solar power and wind power
The transportation, it solved the problem of transporting more easy and quick, but now it's a problem because of the polution.
my example will be actually the cars like the question say the cars have many positve results but other many negative i think that the first poblem are the contamination because tha will all the world at the same time then we can do normal the uses of electrics cars and do its more economics
create a light and strong material to create headphones, laptops etc.
I think for the pollution in the car we may use electronic cars with solar pannels som thay is the energy to het can move
Yes, what I think about is calculating and measuring the correct spaces for the construction, it can also create problems such as miscalculating and the construction fails
a robot get in your body and say you wen you get sick
technology will always cause another problem for example tesla are very good they do not pollute but when they are connected they consume a lot of electricity
Yes, because there are some people who do not use technology very well and can create something that does something bad or something bad for people
being more cautious on highways and giving an in-action to whoever goes faster than 60 km per hour
I think that we should use solar panels but that means we will only have the morning to do what we need to do.
The cars that pollute those to fine because it is bad and it hurts we have to use electronics
Well, if your computer has a blue screen, try to turn it off yourself to see if everything was a single overheating of the computer. But it can lead to slow processing porems because it probably won't work the same as before if your processor is old.
for solar panels they are great for not using carbon emissions though the batteries are toxic and they can only work when the sun is out
we need Mother Nature's help to solve the problems of mankind.
Vehicles are an example for this. As you can see, they are invented to sove human problems like moving from this place to another place faster, but they also bring unavoidable problem, and that is climate change
Solar farms are an example. They help reduce the use of fossil fuels, but they require a lot of unshaded space, which means clearing trees.
People using cars does help transport people faster, However, it causes a lot of pollution in some places. This means that places like swamps and bayous would have very dirty, unbreathable climates.
I think we can use solar panel cars so it can reduce carbon emissions.
The use of nuclear power plants is a solution to reduce the need for fossil fuels. However, when there is a catastrophic event involving the nuclear power plant, there is likely a lasting effect on the environment and any individual in the vicinity. Look at what occurred with the ********* reactor in Japan after being hit with a tsunami.
for computers, i will put a special plastic to protect the dust from getting into the computer forming a block.
Instead of using gas for cars, we can use natural sunlight. Adding solar panels will be better for the earth and humans.
For cars I think we can make them electric by putting solar panels on them so they can move.
New technology is constantly coming out making many tasks easier than before, but it is damaging the Earth,
Having factories can produce faster materials but can pollute the environment
Jan 20, 2016 — Self-healing mechanisms that have recently shown promise in concrete include microcapsules that contain a repair agent, bacteria that precipitate calcite (natural cement), shape memory polymers that shrink when triggered (similar to stitching cracks) and vascular flow networks (similar to the blood vein system) that ...
