Does plastic waste harm our environment? Why do you think so?
Yes, plastic can harm our environment. Plastic is a synthetic material made from a wide range of organic polymers such as polyethylene, PVC, nylon, etc. that can be molded into shape while soft and then set into a rigid or slightly elastic form. Plastics have many reasons why they are called aggravating things for our environment, such as the pollution they induce in our water, soil, and air.
Firstly, plastics can cause water pollution. Plastics in their whole form or already broken into small pieces can cause water pollution. Plastics made from chemicals such as biphenyl, polychlorination, and pesticides all of those can contaminate water and poison, which also damage the habitats of organisms and the environment.
Next, beside water pollution, plastics can also cause soil pollution. Microplastic particles, metal, and other chemicals from plastics' decomposition can enter the so
If I could go back into time I honestly wouldn't stop the discovery of plastic. Even though there is many bad things that plastic does, there has been many things that are useful with plastic. People just need to actually recycle and to think about the impacts they're doing to sea animals or any animals in general.
In my point of view, plastic was an excellent increment for life but we need to work to improve the way to use it and to recycling.
I wouldn't have stopped using plastic. The discovery of plastic would have provided great convenience. I will look for ways to pursue win-win for using the plastic and nature protection.
I won't stop the discovery of plastic but I would make it compulsory to recycle them.
I would stop the discovery of plastic. I do think this material offers us important benefits that outweigh its negatives.

If i could go back in time, instead of stopping the discovery of plastic, I would have warned the world. I would much rather have taken photographs full of evidence of a piece of our day to day life and show the behind the scenes in the oceans. I want to warn our past selves and educate them on the dangers we are putting on our planet. Before I do come and educate the past world on the horrors they are doing, I want to give them an alternative to plastic or then they will just not care. My goal is to help teach and educate people about what the world will look like if our past world didn't overuse plastic.
Student 1:
If I could go back in time I would not stop the discovery of plastic. Look around you, there is plastic everywhere. Countless amounts of things in our everyday life are possible because of plastic. To stop the discovery of plastic would be ripping all of those things out of our lives and asking us to find a replacement. Could you imagine a child pacifier being made out of glass, or steel? While the biggest con that comes with plastic is the cleanliness of our environment there are alternatives. For example, today plastic water bottles and jars represent 75% of all plastic containers. What if bottled water was sold in reusable plastic containers therefore there would be no need to buy multiple bottles. The same idea would go for sauces, gummies, and anything else sold in a plastic container that isn’t one-time use.
I think they should have can up with a way when they found it
I would not stop the discovery of plastic it is a very helpful discovery. I think the negatives are higher then the pros but if we stop manufacturing and use what we have and reuse it it would have more pros then negatives
