I think it is extremely important to take breaks from your phone, and regularly. I am on my phone way too often, and I know how unhealthy it is. Being on our phone constantly causes us to turn to our phone in any given situation, like boredom or to avoid awkwardness. I think we should find alternatives, like for boredom at home, we could read, clean our room, or just find any sort of fun or productive activity to do. For public situations, I think bringing around a book, or a camera, or even a little sketchbook or notepad, and use one of those whenever you have nothing to do, or are waiting for something.
With that being said, anyone could agree with this, and say they would like to do this, but it would never be put into action. So a way to implement this to happen, we could set an alarm or a reminder on our phone to remind us of certain things we want to get done, or to just simply remind us there is something else we could be doing other than being on our phones.
